A partitioning attribute is created if a dimension table or the SIDtable for a line item is very large. The partitioning attribute ensuresthat the fact index and the index for the large table are distributedequally in the BI accelerator landscape. This reduces the amount ofinternal communication required and improves the performance of thequery runtime.
