SAP Message RSDS180 - DataSource &1(&2): Object type RSDS not supported in BAPI source system

Diagnosis
You are trying to create a DataSource (R3TR RSDS) in a source system oftype External System.

System Response
This function is not currently being supported since only DataSources3.x (R3TR ISFS) are permitted in this type of source system.

What_to_do;
To create a DataSource 3.x, proceed as follows:

  • Go to the InfoSource tree for the Data Warehousing Workbench.

  • Create an InfoSource 3.x in the required application component.

  • Assign the InfoSource 3.x the required source system of type
    • External System.
    • Activate the transfer rules.

      • You can now use the DataSource 3.x and display it in the DataSourcemaintenance with emulation.
