Diagnosis
You want to change the payroll area for one of several personnelassignments. The system can execute the payroll only if all personnelassignments of an employee that must be calculated together are assignedto the same payroll area.

Procedure
You cannot change the payroll area for a personnel assignmentretroactively. If you want to change the payroll area of a personnelassignment for future payrolls, you must do so simultaneously for allpersonnel assignments of an employee that have already been calculatedin the same payroll area.
If you have also set the MPSD switch in your system, the change ofpayroll area of an assignment is necessarily linked to a change ofcontract.
