Diagnosis
When you hire a new employee, the system automatically creates theexternal person ID and stores it in infotype 0709. When youenter an additional personnel assignment, the external person ID istransferred by the copy mechanism for infotypes.
The generation rule you use to create the external person ID is definedin Customizing.
Generation rule &V1& is not supported.
