Diagnosis When you enter a credit card number, take into account the following:
- The credit card number has a maximum length of 21 characters
>. It comprises the credit card company code and the actual creditcard number.
- The first two characters> identify the credit card company

The following abbreviations of credit card companies are defined in thesystem: AX> American Express Company DI> Diners Club International EC> Euro Card TP> UATP card company (e.g. Lufthansa Air Plus) VI> Visa International JC>,,JCB Japan If you use SAP R/3 Enterprise Travel Extension 1.10 (EA-HR 110), youcan create additional credit card companies in the Travel ManagementCustomizing using the Define Credit Card Company > IMG activity.
- The other 19 characters> are the actual credit card number
>. Warning>: It is currently not possible to check the credit card number morethoroughly, for example using a check digit. Therefore, ensure you check your entries carefully.Procedure Check the credit card number you entered as described above. Check if the credit card abbreviation exists in the R/3 system. To doso in the SAP R/3 Enterprise Travel Extension 1.10 (EA-HR 110), callthe Travel Management Customizing and then theDefine Credit Card Company> IMG activity. Ifthe abbreviation does not appear in the list specified above or in theIMG activity, you can immediately create it in the IMG activity.
