Diagnosis
You want to replace an object. The validity periods of the objectsoverlap, however. In Customizing for versioning, you specified thatoverlaps are not permitted or that they are permitted but that thesystem is to output a warning.

System Response
If overlaps are not permitted, processing is canceled.
If overlaps are permitted, you can replace the object but the systemoutputs this warning.

Procedure
If overlaps are not permitted or if you do not want the validityperiods to overlap: when replacing an object, enter a predecessorobject with a validity period directly before the validity period ofthe successor object (without gaps or overlaps) or change the validityperiod of the predecessor object.
