SAP Message RMSA_VRS050 - Replacement is not possible; validity period contains gaps or overlaps

Diagnosis You want to replace an object. This results in a gap or overlap,however, in the validity period of the objects. In Customizing forversioning, you specified that gaps and overlaps are not permitted. System Response INCLUDE RMS_GEN_PROCESSING_CANCELLED OBJECT DOKU ID TX Procedure When replacing the object, enter a predecessor object with a validityperiod directly before the validity period of the successor object(without gaps or overlaps) or change the validity period of thepredecessor object.
