You must not change the validity periods of dependent objects within aversion chain. You might not have authorization to change otherversions in the version chain.
Example:
You want to create a new version of a recipe. As a result, the systemhas to adjust the validity period of another version to prevent thevalidity periods from overlapping. You do not have authorization tochange the other version, however.
