You have chosen theNO_REFERNC - Sets and Locks "Cancel Reference" Indic.(Inspection Chars) parameterin Customizing for Recipe Management in theIMG activity Specify Environment Parameters. Inthis case, master inspection characteristics of the type"reference characteristic" are not permitted in the quality inspection.
You cannot normally use the reference characteristics on the screenbecause they are hidden by default. However, it is possible to changethis standard setting. If you want to check whether a master inspectioncharacteristic is marked as a reference characteristic, call theinput help (F4) in the Master Insp.Charac column on the QMtab page in Recipe Management. UnderCopy Model/Reference, choose "All Characteristics". Thereference characteristic is markedwith an "X" in the last column of the hit list.
Note: We recommend that you do not change this setting.
In Quality Management, master inspection characteristics are created asreference characteristics, incomplete copy models, orcomplete copy models. You can look at the characteristic type ofthe master inspection characteristic in theDisplay Master Insp. Characteristic Version function (QS24) underGeneral Information.
