SAP Message RMPU205 - Batch/stock determination not possible

Diagnosis
Neither batch determination nor stock determination can be carried outfor the selected replenishment elements. Possible reasons for thisinclude:

  • Case 1: Batch and stock determination are only allowed for items to be
    • transferred directly. If reservations, WM transfer requirements orKANBAN signals are created, this is carried out neutrally with respectto batch and stock category.
    • Case 2: Material provision has already been carried out for the
      • replenishment element.
      • Case 3: Batch and replenshment source already defined.

      • Case 4.1: Before you can carry out batch determination, you must have
        • assigned a batch search procedure inCustomizing for the pull list.
        • Case 4.2: Before you can carry out stock determination, you must have
          • assigned a batch search procedure in Customizing forthe pull list. You must also have defined a stockdetermination group in the material master records of the componentsin question.
          In the case of this item, the reason is as in case &V1&.
