Diagnosis
In some cases it may be necessary to change the description for anInfoObject in the context of a specific InfoProvider (especially withMultiProviders through the identification fo the InfoObject availablethere).
Example: InfoObject 0MATERIAL (Description "Material") should be called"Article" within the context of a specific InfoCube.

System Response
The maintenance transaction for the InfoProvider allows you to define aprovider-specific description of an InfoObject.

Procedure
Assign an InfoProvider-specific description (only when the defaultdescription for the InfoObject does not apply). Note that thedescription is language-dependent and must thus also be translated. Ifan InfoProvider-specific description is not available in a specificlanguage, the system always uses the default description for theInfoObject.
Note: At runtime, the description assigned here also overrides the 20-di
git short description assigned upon defining an InfoObject. If theoption Use Short Description in Business Explorer is set for theInfoObject, the InfoProvider-specific description (if available) isdrawn on and used in length 20.
