SAP Message R7I051 - MultiCubes can be maintained using MultiProvider transaction from Rel 3.0

Diagnosis
In Release BW 3.0A, the concept MultiCubes has been extended to theconcept MultiProvider .
MultiCubes exclusively contain InfoCubes whose data was groupedtogether in the MultiObject by union operation. This concept has nowbeen extended so that additional BW-Objects such as DataStore objects,InfoObjects and others can also enter the MultiObject. ( Data mergingthrough Union-Operation has remained the same ). The name MultiCube
was no longer suitable here and was therefore generalized to
MultiProvider . Therefore, to classify the BW Objects, an individualBW TLOGO Object MultiProvider was created from a special InfoCubeType ( for example an InfoCube subset ). This new BW LOGO Object can bedefined using a newly created, separate maintenance transaction. (Nevertheless, this looks exactly the same as the previous transactionfrom the user interface ).

Procedure
Maintain the previous MultiCube using the maintenance transaction forMultiProvider. No particular conversions or other actions are requiredto do this. The Object will now no longer be seen as an InfoCube but asa MultiProvider. In other words, only after initializing objectmaintenance will another transaction be started.
Naturally, MultiProviders ( as MultiCubes before ) can also consistexclusively of standard InfoCubes. All queries defined for MultiCubesare therefore still valid.
