Diagnosis
The value range for the partitioning criterium is displayed ordetermined in this screen.

System Response
When activating the InfoCube, the fact table will be created in thedatabase with a number of partitions corresponding to the value range.

Example
Value range for FYear/Calendar Month,,

• from 01.1998


• to 12.2003

6 Years * 12 Months + 2 = 74 partitions will be created,,(2 partitionsfor values that lie outside of the range, meaning <01.1998 or >12.2003).

Procedure
Please define the value range and note that this can only be changed ifthere is no data contained in the InfoCube.
The maximum number of partitions can also be restricted (input field).
