SAP Message R1171 - You cannot assign general maintenance to a BP role grouping

Diagnosis
BP role &V1& is already assigned to BP role grouping &V2&.

Procedure
The BP role for general maintenance cannot be assigned to a BP rolegrouping. To solve this problem, you have two options:

  • Deselect the 'General maintenance' indicator for BP role &V1&

  • First delete the assignment to BP role grouping &V2& before you mark
    • BP role &V1& as general maintenance.
