SAP Message QS082 - You cannot use master inspection char. as "incomplete copy model"

Diagnosis
You want to use a master inspection characteristic that has beenchanged without history as an incomplete copy model. This is notpossible because the master inspection characteristic is being used:

  • As a reference in a task list

  • In a material specification

    • Procedure
    Choose one of the following options:

    • Define the master inspection characteristic either as a reference
      • characteristic or a complete copy model.
      • Cancel the references to the master inspection characteristic in the
        • task lists or material specifications.
        The uses can be displayed with the aid of the where-used list.
        • Change the master inspection characteristic with history.
