Diagnosis
You create a version for a master inspection characteristic using atemplate. The control indicator Parameter characteristic cannotbe copied from the template. This could be for the following reasons:

• The existing versions of the master inspection characteristic are marked
as parameter characteristics, but the copy model has not been marked asa parameter characteristic.

• The existing versions of the master inspection characteristic are not
marked as parameter characteristics. However, the template has been.

The system warns you of this and sets the control indicator Paramete
r characteristic so that it matches the setting for the existingversions.
