The control indicator for automatic defects recording is set in thecharacteristic. However, you have not defined a defect code in thecatalog data.

System Response
If the characteristic is rejected in results recording, the system doesnot automatically create a defect item, but switches directly to thedefects recording dialog box.

Procedure
Choose a defect code.
Note
If required, define a defect code for this characteristic.
For master inspection characteristics, define the defect code in thecharacteristic itself. For inspection characteristics define this inthe task list at characteristic level.
