Procedure
The procedure depends on the type of control chart and the type ofinspection characteristic:

• For summarized recording, you must enter the data (mean value or
standard deviation) required for the control chart.
You can only enter the standard deviation in the characteristic singlescreen.

• In the case of classed recording or single value
recording, the mean value is updated constantly. The standarddeviation and other statistical variables, however, are only determinedautomatically during valuation.
If you want to initiate the calculation before the valuation isperformed, call the function for calculating the statistical moments.
