Diagnosis
You entered more decimal places for the measured value than theinspection characteristic requires.

Procedure
If an error message is given, you must reduce the number of decimalplaces.
If a warning or an information message is given, the value is copied infull length after entry confirmation and issued with the planned numberof decimal places.
If more decimal places are entered than are required in the inspectioncharacteristic, rounding errors can occur in the display.

You can specify a message type in the work-dependent quality managementsettings in Customizing.
Using the message type, you can customize the procedure when the numberof planned decimal places is exceeded in results confirmation.
