Diagnosis
An inspection with reference to a task list or a material specificationhas been defined for this item. However, no inspection specification(task list or material specification) has been assigned. This could bedue to several reasons:

• The system has not yet attempted to assign an inspection specification,
because you have not set the indicator "Automatic specificationassignment" for the material in the inspection setup data.

• The indicator "Automatic specification assignment" has been set, but
there are several suitable task lists available in the system.

• The indicator "Automatic specification assignment" has been set but the
system could not find a suitable inspection specification. Thismay be due to the following:
The indicator "Inspect with task list" has been set, but the indicator"Inspect with material specification" has not been set:
The system cannot find a suitable task list.
The indicator "Inspect with material specification" has been set, butthe indicator "Inspect with task list" has not been set:
No material specification is created for the material.
Both the indicators "Inspect with task list" and "Inspect with materialspecification" have been set:
The system cannot find either a suitable task list or materialspecification. If both indicators have been set, you must have createdboth a task list and a material specification.

Procedure
Assign an inspection specification retrospectively in the "Changeinspection lot" transaction and calculate the sample size.
