SAP Message Q6701 - Field catalog &1 already exists and has not been generated

Diagnosis
The system attempted to generate (to create) field catalog &V1&.However, there is already a field catalog with the name &V1& that wasnot generated by the system.

System Response
The system terminates the generation. The field catalog &V1& thatalready exists is retained and is not changed.

Procedure

  • If &V1& is a field catalog delivered by SAP, contact your SAP Hotline.
    • (Field catalogs delivered by SAP begin with "SAP_".)
    • If it is a customer field catalog, then check whether a field catalog
      • with the name &V1& should really be generated. If this is the case, youmust delete the existing field catalog &V1& before the generation.
