Diagnosis
You cannot delete an appraisal element if it is still being used in anappraisal.

Procedure
Identify the appraisals in which the appraisal element is used. You canuse the Reporting Options for Appraisals to do this (select theMore selection criteria option).
For more information, refer to the R/3 Library (HR -> PersonnelManagement -> Personnel Development -> Appraisal Systems -> ReportingOptions for Appraisals).
Delete the appraisals.
Delete the appraisal element from the appraisal catalog.

Procedure for System Administration
In Customizing for Personnel Development, you can specify whetherappraisals with the statuses Completed and Approved
can be deleted. For more information, refer to the ImplementationGuide (IMG) (step: Set Up ControlParameters).
