&CAUSE&
The same status can only be assigned multiple iPPE object types ifthe same technical type (node, variant, or alternative)and application are assigned.
Example:
You cannot assign STATUS_1 to the node typeS_GEN and variant type S_CMPST at the same timebecause the technicaltypes are different. In addition, you cannot assign STATUS_1 toa node type of the applicationproduct structure (CMP) and a node type of the applicationprocess structure (ACT).However, you can assignSTATUS_1 to the component variant and assembly item becausethe technical types (variant) and theapplications (product structure (CMP)) are the same.

Procedure
Choose General Settings ->Define Settings for Status Managementin iPPE Customizing, and make the relevant settings underStatus Object Types.
