SAP Message LP118 - Batch verification not required, although possible in WM (pick parts)

Diagnosis
Material &V1& is handled in batches. The batch for the materialcomponent was not defined in the order. Batch definition in the orderis not necessary. Because of this, confirmation of batches found inthe WM system to the order is notrequired. This material is defined in the WM system via thecontrol cycle as a pick part with adynamic production storage bin. Processingof pick parts with a dynamic production storage bin in the WM systemhas the following special characteristics:

  • Material staging always takes place with reference to an order.

    • The pick parts are managed for production in the WM system in a dynamic
    • production storage bin that is the same as the order number.
In this way, only material stock for an order is managed in aproduction storage bin, that is, the supplied batches have a directreference to the order and are not mixed with batches of other ordersin the system.
For this reason, the batches determined in the WM system can beconfirmed to the order during transfer order confirmation. It is alsopossible, however, for the WM system to determine the batches duringthe GI consumption posting and to transmit these to theIM system. These batches are selected inthe WM system from the respective production storage bin, which isassigned as a dynamic storage bin to this order only.

      Procedure
Check whether the batch confirmation for this material is to take placeand, if required, change the batch entry control in the materialmaster.
