SAP Message CC196 - System status: change is locked by another user

Diagnosis
You want to process a change object (such as a BOM or document) withreference to the change number of an ECO.

System Response
The system checks the system status of the ECO.
The ECO you selected has been given the system status "Locked" by auser.

Procedure
Check the ECO (and the object management records of the ECO, ifrequired).

  • The status report logs the name of the user who locked the ECO
    • (Environment -> Reporting -> Status report).
    • To unlock the ECO, set the system status "Unlock".
