You assign a revision level for a material or document. This revisionlevel is not defined in engineering change management Customizing (
Revision Levels activity). It istherefore an external revision level.

System Response
The system allows the assignment to be made, as the Ext. revisionlevel indicator is set in the Set upcontrol data activity.
