Diagnosis
Taking into account the validity areas, the system found a total of &V4&combinations of suitable report generation variants during labeldetermination for material &V1& and label category &V3&. The systemcompares the countries specified for the label with those thatcorrespond to the validity areas of the report generation variants ofthe label category. Since there may sometimes be no report generationvariant that covers all the countries, the system first determines allsuitable combinations (best match) of report generation variants thatcover the desired countries. The combinations that are found are reducedlater on, for example by dangerous goods regulations and required usesymbols.
Example:
A label is required for the countries DE and FR. The system found thefollowing report generation variants:
VAR1 with validity area DE
VAR2 with validity area FR
VAR3 with validity area DE, FR, EN
VAR4 with validity area REG_EU
The following eight combinations of suitable report generation variantswere determined from this:
VAR1, VAR2
VAR1, VAR3
VAR1, VAR4
VAR2, VAR1
VAR2, VAR3
VAR2, VAR4
VAR3
VAR4
The system then selects the most suitable combination from these (theGLM_VAR_DET environment parameterdetermines how this is done) and uses this, provided that the generationvariant is suitable for any dangerous goods regulations and use symbolsrequired.
