Diagnosis
In the section Automatic value assignment or in the sectionPossible entries, you entered a field whose format (&V1&) doesnot correspond to the characteristic format.
For numeric characteristics, you can only use numeric field formats(such as DEC, FLTP, INT1, INT2, INT4, QUAN etc.).
For characteristics with a date or time format, you can only use thefield formats DATS or TIMS.

Procedure
Choose a field whose format corresponds to the characteristic format.
