Diagnosis
Settlement scheduling is the process that schedules settlement of remune
ration entitlement into one or more payment dates, based on a set ofrules. Unlike the rule for legal right to future commission, nosettlement items lines are written in settlement scheduling butsettlement schedule items. A settlement schedule item is the preliminarystep to a settlement item, and as such it offers more scope foradjustments. As long as a settlement schedule has not been converted toa settlement item, it can be completely discarded and replaced by a newschedule. When a remuneration entitlement expires, the correspondingsettlement schedule is deleted from the database.
A remuneration line qualifies for settlement scheduling under the follow
ing circumstances:

• Settlement scheduling is agreed upon in the commission contract where
the remuneration entitlement is fixed. The corresponding standardcontract must contain a settlement schedule agreement in this case.Further, the standard agreement in the commission contract must haveindividual settings for one or more allowed settlement schedule rule.

• The determination of settlement schedule rule (object type class 25) is
set in such a way that a hit list is generated during processing of thecommission case or posting of a manual document.

System Response
Remuneration lines that do not qualify for settlement scheduling basedon the above criteria are subject to remuneration scheduling based onthe rule for legal right to future commission.
