Diagnosis
You cannot assign a value to the characteristic you selected, or youcannot assign the characteristic value you selected. This could be forthe following reasons:

• The characteristic of characteristic value is excluded from the value
assignment process by objectdependencies.

• The characteristic is restrictable, and the value set has been
restricted by user entries or object dependencies.

Procedure
Select the Hidden characteristics pushbutton to see why acharacteristic or characteristic value is excluded from theconfiguration process.
