Diagnosis
You used a change number to start recipe maintenance.
Characteristic &V1& has already been edited in the master recipe usinga different change number with the same valid-from date. For thisreason, you may not change characteristic &V1& for this date, that is,with the change number you have entered.

• The characteristic is locked and cannot be changed in the
characteristic overview.

• Characteristics are not locked in the process instruction assistant
because the characteristic structure is not created until you exit theassistant. However, your changes are not copied to thecharacteristic structure if the locked characteristic is affected bythem.
In this case, the system terminates process instruction maintenance andwrites a corresponding message to the log.

Procedure
If possible, make your changes on the characteristic overview.
