Diagnosis
The system could not check characteristic value assignment as thefollowing error occured for at least one characteristic:
On the Allowed Values screen, the function module that specifiesvalue check using a foreign key is allocated to the characteristic.However, the check cannot be carried out for one of the followingreasons:

• No reference field has been defined for the reference field in the
dialog box containing the data for process management.

• The reference field specified does not belong to the structure defined
for foreign key definition.

• The foreign key for the specified reference field does not exist or has
not been maintained completely.

• The foreign key of the specified reference field refers to fields that
do not exist within foreign key check.

• The type and format of the characteristic value cannot be converted to
that of the reference field.

• For characteristics in the SAP name range (PPPI_*):

Notify your system administrator.

• For user-defined characteristics:

Complete or correct the value check definition in the characteristic ifrequired.
