Diagnosis
You cannot use characteristic &V1& for one of the following reasons:

• It has not been created in the current client &V2&.


• It has not been allocated to a characteristics groups that is released
for use in process instructions or process messages in the currentclient.

Procedure
RESET N1
If characteristic &V1& does not exist in your client, create it inCustomizing for Process Management.
Depending on your requirements, carry out the following steps inCustomizing:
Release the characteristics group to which characteristic &V1& isassigned for use in process instructions and, if required, in processmessages.
Assign characteristic &V1& to a released characteristics group.
Call the process instruction category, master recipe, or process orderagain and start the process instruction assistant.
Characteristic &V1& is now available.
