Diagnosis
The process message used to report the selected value contains thecharacteristic &V1&. According to the process instruction, the valueof this characteristic is to be assigned automatically in the PI sheet.However, the characteristic is not set up for automatic valueassignment in Customizing.

System Response

• If the characteristic &V1& is a required characteristic:

You can manually assign a value to the characteristic.

• If the characteristic &V1& is not required:

You cannot assign a value to the characteristic. However, the processmessage is sent nevertheless.

Procedure


• If the characteristic &V1& is a required characteristic:

Assign the characteristic value manually.

• If the characteristic &V1& is not required, choose one of the following
possiblities to suit your requirements:
Send the process message without the characteristic &V1&.
If the characteristic &V1& is to be contained in the message,deactivate the process instruction and create the required processmessage manually.
