SAP Message C$836 - No active WWI server was found for generating the document &1

Diagnosis
One or more generation servers (WWI servers) were found for thefollowing criteria in Customizing:

  • Destination type = &V2&

  • Destination = &V3&

  • Printer type = &V4&

    • The generation servers were, however, not active when the system triedto assign the generation job.

    System Response
    INCLUDE EHS_BD_NO_GENERATION OBJECT DOKU ID TX
    The generation job was set to status waiting. The system will tryto assign the generation job to a generation server the next time thedispatcher for the generation jobs is run.

    Procedure
    INCLUDE EHS_NA_ADMIN OBJECT DOKU ID TX

    Procedure for System Administration
    Check the inactive generation servers.
    Notes:

    • Inactive generation servers can be set back to status active. To
      • do this, in the EH&S menu choose Basic Data and Tools ->Tools -> WWI Monitor -> Utilities -> ActivateServer.
      • You can trigger the dispatch process manually by positioning the cursor
        • on the line for the dispatcher in the WWI monitor and executing theActivate Server function.
