SAP Message C$833 - Saving document data has failed

Diagnosis
Saving the data for document &V1& &V2& &V3& &V4& has failed.

System Response
Generation was not completed successfully.

Procedure

  • Check the Windows event log on the WWI generation server. The event log
    • may contain other error messages. Note 1058521 provides possibleremedies for the error that occurred.
    • Check in Customizing in the IMG activity Define
      • Workstation Application whether the file format *.* is assigned tothe workstation application WWI.
      • Also check Note 855793.

      • Check the Customizing of the EH&S document types in the IMG activity
        • Check Document Types and Document Statusesusing the Note 995736.
        • Check the RFC connection to the WWI generation server.

        • If the error occurs when printing documents, make sure that a default
          • printer is installed on the WWI generation server.
