Diagnosis
The RSBTCDEL program was not able to delete all of the background jobsthat met the specified selection criteria. Among the possible causesfor this problem are:

• No authorization to delete certain jobs.


• Jobs could not be deleted because they were active.


• A database problem has occurred: RSBTCDEL was not able to find and
delete all of the records of a particular job. The missing recordsshould have been present in the control tables of the backgroundprocessing system.

• A problem has occurred in the TEMSE database: one or more job logs of
completed jobs could not be found and/or deleted.

System Response
The program completed successfully but did not delete all of the jobsthat were selected for deletion.

Procedure
In general, this message does not mean that a serious problem hasoccurred. Typically, RSBTCDEL was provided with broad selectioncriteria that included one or more jobs that were active when theRSBTCDEL program ran.
Errors involving the TEMSE database (job logs) are also generally notcritical. You can check for such errors with the TEMSEmanagement facility.
Should you suspect that a database error has occurred, you shoulduse the analysis tools of the database system or the computing center management system to check the database system.
