Diagnosis
The background processing system was unable to lock the records of thepredecessor job of the job that you are deleting. The predecessor jobis named in the message. The system must lock the records in order tochange the number of successor jobs to reflect the deletion that youare performing.

Job not deleted.

Procedure
Use the analysis functions provided in the lockmanagement facility to analyze this problem. You should also checkthe system log for messages relating to lockingproblems.
