Diagnosis Numeric variable &V1& is to be replaced from the selection forcharacteristic &V2&. Since the characteristic is used neither in the selections nor as a freecharacteristic in the query, and the variable is calculated afteraggregation, the variable can never be replaced. Formulas containing variables with replacement paths from keys or textsare generally calculated after aggregation if no exception aggregationis defined. When values are replaced from attributes, an exception aggregation isautomatically added using the reference characteristic for the formulavariable. This results in calculation before aggregation using thecharacteristic for the exception aggregation. When values are replaced from keys or text, this exception aggregationis not added. An 'X' is therefore displayed in any cells in which thecharacteristic is not specified. This is the case in the results row,for example, if the characteristic is in the drilldown. This alsoapplies if the characteristic is not actually in the drilldown. It is also possible that the variable cannot be consistently replaced by"from" or "to". Procedure Correct your report. You can do this as follows: 1) Change the settings for the variable so that it is replaced beforeaggregation. To do this, use report RSR_VAR_REPPATH_AGGREGATION as outlined in SAPNote 1005772. The query then needs to be regenerated. 2) Add the reference characteristic to the drilldown. The warning is no longer displayed. In this case, however, anycolumns that previously contained an 'X' continue to display an 'X'. |
