Diagnosis
You can only activate the function obligatory if you have notalready entered budget data with this budget type and an initial value(BLANK/SPACE) for the budget subtype.

System Response
If you activate this function, although budget was entered with thisbudget type and initial value (BLANK/SPACE) for the budget subtype, thesystem issues an error message when you save the budget data. Then whenthe consistency of the budget is checked, the system takes into accountthe budget data that was entered with an initial value (BLANK/SPACE) forthe budget subtype.

Procedure
If budget data with initial value for the budget subtype was entered,you are not allowed to activate the function obligatory.
