Diagnosis
You want to change a BS template that is already being used in one ormore budget structures(BS).
If budget values already exist in the relevant BS validity area,changes to the BS template and to BS generation may causeinconsistencies in budget data.

System Response
The system will make the change to the BS template, if you confirm thechange.

Procedure
Check whether budget values already exist in the validity area of therelevant budget structures.
If you want to make changes to the BS, even though budget data alreadyexists, you must then reconstruct the distributed and assigned valuesvia, Budgeting -> Tools -> Reconstruct Distributed andReconstruct Assigned. If inconsistent budget data occurs, youhave two options to correct the inconsistencies:
You execute the program to reconstruct the assigned values and thenadjust the budget values manually. Then execute the program toreconstruct the assigned values.

• You reconstruct the budget values by using program Reconstruct
Budget Values (BPDIST05) and then starting the reconstruction ofassigned values.
