Procedure
If possible, do not use any fields to enter the general object number.
Please note that the representation used for input of the object numberdiffers from the output representation. This means that you can checkyour input only to a limited extent.
For example, the entry 'OR000000123456' is converted to the output 'AUF123456'. The entry 'OR000123456' is converted to the same output.
The entry 'AUF 123456' would be converted to 'AU F 123456'. This doesnot make any sense.

Procedure for System Administration
If the current application has been developed in your company, youshould use a field with another domain (for example, J_OBJNR) to enterthe object number. If this is not possible, you can use the functionmodule OBJECT_NUMBER_CONVERSION_SET to deactivate output conversion. Inthis case the internal and external representation is identical. Theentry 'OR000000123456' will then be output as 'OR000000123456'.
