Diagnosis
You have entered either an invalid CFOP code or the code in theincorrect format.

Procedure
For CFOP codes valid before 1/1/2003, you must enter them as follows:

• Total of five characters, either separated by a slash or not after the
third character: Three digits followed by a slash (or no slash), thenone digit, then the last character is either a digit or a letter.Examples: 123/1A, 12345
For CFOP codes valid after1/1/2003, you must enter them as follows:

• Total of six characters, with no slash after the fourth character: Four
digits, no slash, last two characters can be any combination of digit orletter. Examples: 123411, 1234AA, 1234A1, 12341A

Notes
The first digit must always be one of the following: 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, or7.
Note that the system does not differentiate between codes entered withor without a slash. For example
, 123/1A is equal to 1231A.
