SAP Message BA503 - Activate infostructures to read archived data using SAP AS

Diagnosis
You want to read data from the archive using the archive informationsystem. This is not possible, because there is no active infostructurefor field catalog &v1&.

Procedure

  • To read data from the archive with the help of an index, contact your
    • system administrator.
    • Alternatively, you can select the archive files to be read manually (

      • Extras -> Data Source...). In this case no index is usedfor the archive search. The selected files are read sequentially, whichmay take considerably more time.
      • If you do not want to read data from the archive, change the settings on
        • the data source dialog box (Extras -> Data Source....).

        Procedure for System Administration

        • To read data from the archive with the help of an index, activate an
          • infostructure for field catalog &v1&.
          • If you do not want to read data from the archive, make sure that the
            • Customizing table ASDATASRC1 does not contain an entry with the name ofthe current report and the activated indicator USE_INFSYS.
