During a production write and delete run with the above archivingobject, important status messages and any error messages are collectedin this monitoring attribute. "Yellow" messages trigger alerts, which the system handlesautomatically according to the situation. Therefore after a file has be en written and at the start of the delete run, a "yellow" alert istriggered which is then cancelled on the successful completion of thedelete run for this file. Error messages trigger "red" alerts, which the system does not handleautomatically. When all of the alerts for an archiving object have been resolved, andif neither an incorrect nor an incomplete run exists for the archivingobject, then the system will delete all messages and alerts from themonitoring attribute "Checkpoints". The system will only recreate"Checkpoints" the next time a session is created using this archivingobject. |
