SAP Message B2002 - Be careful when changing the logical system (see long text)


The logical system is used for the ALE (Application Link Enabling)component. The logical system is the unique name for the clientthroughout the company in this database.
When maintaining the logical system, be aware of the following:
  • The logical system must be unique throughout the company. It must not be
    • used by another system in the ALE group of systems.
    • In the productive system, the logical system may not be changed once an
      • inital value has been entered.
      When a non-initial logical system is changed, it may occur thatdocuments from its own system cannot be found. When the logical systemof the document reference does not match its own system, the systemassumes that the document is in another system.
