Diagnosis
Business area balance sheets are to be created in company code &V1&.For this reason, every asset has to be uniquely assigned to onebusiness area.
However, you have not allowed for entering a business area in any ofthe views of Asset Accounting.

System Response
Despite the settings in the screen layout control, it is possible tomaintain the business area.

Procedure
You can enter a business area and save the asset. However, you shouldstill remove the Customizing inconsistency.
Make sure the following requirements are fulfilled:
The business area is not suppressed in screen layout rule &V3& of assetclass &V2&.
The business area, or at least one of the other fields that could beused for determining the business area (cost center, responsible costcenter, internal order or maintenance order), is defined as an optionalor required field in screen layout rule &V3&.
At least one of asset views 1-6 has maintenance authorization for thetime-dependent data.
