SAP Message AO396 - Cannot maintain required field &1 using layout & of app. req. type &3

Diagnosis You assigned tab layout &V2& to appropriation request type &V3& inCustomizing for Investment Management. At the same time, you definedfield &V1& as a required field in the screen layout. However, thisfield cannot be maintained using tab layout &V2&. Therefore, the systemcannot create the appropriation request. System Response It is not possible to maintain the master data of appropriation requesttype &V3& using the current screen layout. Procedure The appropriation request cannot be saved. Cancel processing of theappropriation request. Then, either correct the screen layout or the definition of the tablayout.
