SAP Message ALSMEX033 - Invalid symbol in amount field

Diagnosis
The '&v1&' field in the Excel input file contains an invalid symbol.The field is assigned to an amount field in the asset master record.Therefore it is only permitted to contain numbers and these symbols:

  • decimal (.)

  • comma (,)

  • plus sign (+)

  • minus sign (-)

    • The value of the field is '&v2&'.

    Procedure
    Change the contents of the field in the input file. Or, if the '&v1&'field was incorrectly assigned to an amount field, create a new fieldassignment.
