Diagnosis
Filter definitions were transported that are not permitted becausedependent data from evaluations already exists. If the filter has thestatus inconsistent, it cannot be used in the application. Youcannot use any change functions for the filter in this status. TheReset function is the only exception. However, the changes tothe filter that are permitted do depend on the filter category.
You can no longer change filters of the categories dynamic selection or filter group once single records for a procedure forsingle records exist for these filters. You can change only theassignment to an authorization group and the description. If you changethe filter definition, the inconsistent status is set and youcannot start the procedure for single records for this filter.
Portfolio hierarchies exist that are assigned to the filter of thecategory Filter for Portfolio Hierarchies. There are savedevaluation results for at least one of these portfolio hierarchies. Youcan make limited changes to the filter. After the current incorrectadjustment of the filter selections, base portfolios (segments) would beomitted from the selection variant of the old filter. As a result, nodeswould be deleted from the assigned portfolio hierarchies. This is notpermitted.
The following adjustments to the filter selections are permitted, evenif saved evaluation results exist:
- Deleting all filter selections for an analysis characteristic
- Adding a single value (included)
- Adding or increasing a value range (included)
- Deleting an excluded single value
- Deleting or decreasing a value range (excluded)
The following actions result in the inconsistent status (whensaved evaluation results exist):
- Adding filter selections for an analysis characteristic that is notyet available
- Deleting a single value (included) if it has not been entered in aninterval
- Deleting or decreasing a value range (included)
- Adding an excluded single value
- Adding or increasing a value range (excluded)
If a filter has the status inconsistent, all portfoliohierarchies that are assigned to this filter also have the status
inconsistent . As a result, you cannot start a procedure for finalresults with these portfolio hierarchies.

Procedure
Adjust the incorrect filter selections using one of the followingactions:
- Transport the correct version of the filter definitions
- Use Reset in the maintenance transaction of the filter. Thisreloads the filter definitions that were last valid.
